I have a dedicated home theatre with relatively old equipment. I want to upgrade to dolby digital surround sound. Currently I have denon amps which I've been told are fine. I'll require a new preamp/processor and I'm searching for the best I can do up to $1200. Any recs/suggestions with nad, rotel or any other products?

Good day. I am ugrading from my RSP-985, due to its lack of component inputs/output and my television only having one component input, in order to take advantage of Comcast adding HDTV in my area. Has anyone had any problems or issues with either the 1098 or 1068 and HDTV? Thank you.

Can anyone tell me their experience with a Marantz Sr8200 receiver acting as a processor only, compared to the Rotel 1066 or 1068 processors.
I use a Sony TAN9000ES 5 channel amplifier and have no use for the amplifiers in the Marantz receiver. I am not unhappy...
