The Mission Possible DIY is in the process of expanding to provide better organization of the topics. Thanks goes to JonMarsh for proposing the sub-forums and helping to move the topics. If you have any questions let us know.
No, not Dudley Moore, but, you know what, he would have probably worked out pretty well. That's a good guess and deserving of a big smiley. Actually, your second guess wasn't half bad either.
Wouldn't you have been shocked if you got it right George.
Okay,
1. The rumour is that Charles Manson was really interested in being a monkey and was using his friendship with Dennis Wilson of the Beachboys toward this end. Some say it didn't happen though. The Polanski connection is that Sharon Tate was married to Polanski at the time of the murders.
2. My wife, teeny bopper that she was, went to see the Monkeys and this weird guy that played guitar with his teeth named Jimi Hendrix opened for them. Talk about odd pairings.
I'm hoping someone else has some trivia questions.
8O Ok the answer to the first question is just plain scary. What if he got the part. Would he have been any differant? And if so would any of the subsequent actions on his part have been commited. And from there a differant ripple of reality would have been created. :wtf:
You really have me stumped here, but, from the way you typed your question, I'll guess Pete Townshend, but that's a total stab. Now, we find out if "WHO" is significant. Is Eduardo the master of clever ways to drop clues???
George is right! He didn't have any money for a left-handed guitar so he simply bought a right-hand model, turned it upside down and didn't even re-string it. My source is a good friend (musician) who studied lots of guitar "greats".
the question is..................... who is erik braun............ The answer is.... the lead guitar player of the 60s rock-nroll group IRON BUTTERFLY as for question # 2 He recently died.... Thats a bummer...
ok........ the musician -Mike pinnera- played with two rock-n-roll bands what were the names of these bands & what was the most famous song that he performed in??????
well,,,,,,,,,,, I,m impressed that you were able to get half of it. Your right mike was with the Iron Butterfly for thier last album called Metamorphases . Now let me give you a clue as to the other band he was in. The band had a great image about them................. By the way inagaddavida is not the song good try though ;b>'>
Then, I'm going to guess Blues Image because they're the only band I can recall that has "image" in their name. That was a clue wasn't it Dave? For the life of me, though, I can't remember a dang thing they ever did. I think they were around in the 60's too. Wow, bigger than inagaddavida. That's something. Even a lot of the kids today know that one.
8) Give the man a Guinness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kieth your Right. I,ll tell you the name of the song ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, It is Ride Captian Ride. Lets try another one..... What rock-n-roll group did the legendary Yardbirds evolve into???
Okay, here's a trivia quote. Who said the following, "Rock 'n Roll: The most brutal, ugly, desperate, vicious form of expression it has been my misfortune to hear. "?
And now, a trivia riddle: 8)
What did Beethovan say in response to the question, "Ludwig, what are you doing?" when they entered his crypt only to find his remains sitting up at a piano?
And, now a Yardbirds trivia question: When he left the Yardbirds to form the Jeff Beck Group, who was Beck's lead singer?
Still think that Jeff Beck's truth is a CLASSIC!!!
Two more questions on the board folks. You just don't know how good it is to have a big smilie. They feel better than 100 of Chris's bananas. I know. Well, at least unless you smoke 100 of Chris's bananas.
Okay, here's a trivia quote. Who said the following, "Rock 'n Roll: The most brutal, ugly, desperate, vicious form of expression it has been my misfortune to hear. "?
My step-father! :B
And now, a trivia riddle: 8)
What did Beethovan say in response to the question, "Ludwig, what are you doing?" when they entered his crypt only to find his remains sitting up at a piano?
That negative remark about Rock and Roll just may have come from Frank Sinatra. It really pissed him off at first, but he mellowed later and began to enjoy some of it, especially some of The Beatles stuff.
Okay, now, Keith, here's a some Sinatra trivia:
Sinatra recorded MY WAY and pretty much made it his song.
WHO WROTE MY WAY ?
I'm pretty sure I know that one because Mr. Paul Anka sang it a lot himself back in the 60's on shows like Dick Cavett and Merv Griffen. By the way, my wife hates that song, but I love it. Go figure.
But the big thing is that, for the first time, we have a double huge smilie awards ceremony for Mr. Meek and Mr. Bellefontaine. Step up to the podium and take your bows gentlemen.
Those smilies are pretty impressive!!!!!!!!!!!! Alright, In the early 70s the late George Harrison put together The concert for Bangladesh, What was the name of the guitar player that played the accoustical version of Here come the sun? & secondly, what was the name of the group he played with? & third but not least what song did he& his co- writer compose that went to #1 but performed by another artist? :?:
I thought Paul Anka wrote it, too, but he only co-wrote the lyrics with a French gent by the name of Gille Thibault. The music itself was actually written by two other Frenchmen: Jacques Revaux and Claude Francois.
However, Anka took the song to Sinatra because he felt the lyrics fitted him to a tee.
