Boney James - Ride

I recieved this from a friend for x-mas.

A nice mix of upbeat and slow sax play, with a few vocals here and there. Which was a shock after looking at the art work on the cover, which looks very steamy with deep blue color. I was expecting a totally mellow cd, not the case.

The sound quality is average to good. Damn good imaging though!

All in all, I like this disc. I would have had no regrets about paying for it but, I didn't have to so, it sounds even better!

Is that the first Boney James you've listened to?

I really like "Body Language" and "Trust".

The first Boney James that I heard (and own) was from Under The Covers, Best of Smooth Jazz Vol.2. On the disc he is featured playing Sweet Thing. A very talented artist for sure.

As for Fourplay, they are my all-time favorite Jazz group! The only one that I don't own from them is "Yes, Please". You have good taste in music!
