Sounds like a good idea- my girlfriend has been complaining about not having enough Xmas music- though this may not be what she means! She's English, and a bit traditional, if you know what I mean! If it doesn't sound a bit like a hymn, it's not really Christmassy!

Okay Jon, Maybe I can help you out here! :B

I happen to own a 3 cd set which should bring a wonderful balance to the party.

It's called "A Very Rudolph Christmas". This set has a very nice mix, tradional and some not so traditonal. It includes a 40 page songbook.

These are just some of the featured artist, Luciano Pavarotti, Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, The Silver and Gold Singers, Johnny Mathis, The Jackson 5, Boys II Men, Cher, The Temptations, John Goodman, Aaron Neville, Willie Nelson, Placido Domingo, Sonny and Cher, Liza Minnelli...I don't want to spoil too much! But, there are quite a few others on the collection that makes it worth owning.

The first two disc are done by Goodtimes Entertainment. The third disc is a Sony release. All sound nice but, I give the sound quality edge to the Sony disc.

If I recall, I picked this set up from Sears last year at a very good price. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestion, John! We're going to Sears this afternoon to look at a weight kit for her older son for Christmas, so maybe they'll have this one there this year!

What I really need to do, though, is to finish the new bookshelf speakers I'm building for her- but with all the other things going on, that may be a stretch!

'Tis the season to be busy... VERY busy!

              Regards,

              Jon
