She was quite the vocalist. The first time I heard her sing At Last, I got goosebumps. I don't know why, really, but I don't have any of her recordings. RIP, Etta.- Bottom

I have this DVD of hers that's worth a look: Etta James and the Roots Band – "Burnin' Down the House" (2002). It was recorded at The House of Blues in 2001 when Etta was 61 years old. She is still in very good voice although she is seated for the whole concert and there's not a whole lotta burnin' going on. It's more of a soulful performance. She will be missed.
