She was quite the vocalist. The first time I heard her sing At Last, I got goosebumps. I don't know why, really, but I don't have any of her recordings. RIP, Etta. -
I have this DVD of hers that's worth a look: Etta James and the Roots Band – "Burnin' Down the House" (2002). It was recorded at The House of Blues in 2001 when Etta was 61 years old. She is still in very good voice although she is seated for the whole concert and there's not a whole lotta burnin' going on. It's more of a soulful performance. She will be missed.

I was watching the entertainment portion of the early morning news and there was some discussion about The Assasination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford. The reviewer warned viewers that if you liked what you saw in 3:10 To Yuma ( lots of guns and action) you may not like Jesse James. Apparently... -
Sorry to all those that liked it, what a dud. There is a thread way back when, but it's pretty far back.
Picture quality was poor, can we please have some clairty. I don't care for the whole everything is black with black Silhouette. And the fisheye technique here and there was weak.... -
Even though from the opening scene, you know how this film is going to end, I was hooked. First there is the outstanding cinematography, not only of the landscapes but of the various nuances the camera explores of each character. Then there is the acting. Outstanding doesn't even come close to describing...
