    B&W for side speakers (SCM1)

    Hello,
Im currently running 601S2 for my side speakers on my Lexicon MC-1, would the SCM1s be a drastic improvement?
    Thanks. Rob

    Rob,

I have never listen to the 601 series. I have listen to the SCM1 setup with the 804's. In the demo room which I heard them, they were to the sides of the listening position. While viewing Toy Story 2, the rear soundstage was very detailed and also produced (when called upon) wonderful 360 pans.

They seemed to be a very good speaker for the intended application! A little pricey for me though

      Thanks John,
I thought it over and what Im thinking of doing is putting the 805's on the sides on speaker stands (with the tweeter 48" high) and the SCM-1 on the rears about 78" high. Im curious if I will get a more discrete sound from the rears with this set up?

      Thanks for any replies, Rob

How best to skin surrounds with N803's? SCM1? DS7?

This is my first post here - glad to have found this place after wearing out the search engines @ Home Theater Forum and AVS Forum (love 'em both, but a B&W only spot is pretty neat!). Especially since I've just ended more than a decade of Paradigm Studio Reference speaker ownership to join...

        SCM1 Mounts
        by sikoniko
JLee, your pics for your SCM1 mounts seemed to have been archived. Anyways. I am probably going to get them in the next few weeks and I am trying to figure out how to mount them.

What I really want to do is mount them from the ceiling at a down and in direction, facing the key listening...

        SCM1 or 805 as rears?
        by Murunga
My original design was 805's as rears. My wife then said I could not place 805's and stands on the floor there and that I'd have to go with a shelf on the rear wall. So should I just put my (I already have them) 805's on the shelf or get SCM1's for wall mount? Do the 805's sound better? Are they the...

Am I making the right choice? SCM1 rears?
        by Race Car Driver
Im on the hunt for a pair of cherry SCM1 rears for my room, everything ive read and seen it seems like this is the way to go for wall mount speakers.

Whats your thoughts? Anyone have these or been able to compare them to the 805s?
