    Turntable isolation

    Hi,
What is everyone using as a dampener? My new deck sits on a wooden table that I'm sure isn't the ideal platform.
    Thanks,
    Ken

you have the rega p1, right, ken?

if the table is sturdy & your not getting noise from foot traffic, then you are prolly ok.

    then there are these

There's always a hanging platform. Seriously, that was a thing at one time and it's actually pretty effective. It's also inconvenient and aesthetically challenged, but if you live near a freeway or train tracks....

Thanks guys, I was thinking of a home made "plinth" to stabilize the old pine door table that it sits on. I've read that a granite slab would ring, concrete might be an option...... I haven't experienced any problems, but sometimes little tweaks improve things

A cork mat might be worth a try (and cheap).
