this may sound like an obvious issue, but the company, after i sent them down to get fixed, put little grills on the tweeters. maybe to protect them during the move. now, do you guys think i should remove them? i mean what can the grills do to the sound?

It depends. Do you have a picture? -
Do they appear to be permanently attached, or just taped on?
If they're taped on, or stuck on with really weak glue, then they were probably just intended to protect them during shipping and can be removed. If they appear to be more of a permanent fixture (part of the tweeters themselves), leave them on.
What kind of speakers/tweeters are they? Pics?Comment

no, im sure they were just put on for transport as when i first got them there were no grill, ill take them off,,,,,just wondered if it was a nesseryComment

Hi there.. I had a chance to listen 805S in this moment, and before that i had 804... I realized that on 804 tweaters was missalignment left/right (on both speakers wasnt pointed to the center of the rear of the speakers, they were 2-3 mm left or right.. So nat exactly the same..

Everyone showed their setups with 90% showing them with the Grills off. The sun in my living room will have an eventual effect of the part of the wood thats hidden behind the grill (fading maybe). Do you have yours off or on and why ?

First of all, let me say that I think that I hate this hobby!, or whatever is. :P It's more like an addiction! After getting my Stentorians done, I had to build something else, and now the hunt is on.
And, more importantly, I HAVE to have a reason to go out there and just listen to them. 8)
