    little grills on the tweaters

this may sound like an obvious issue, but the company, after i sent them down to get fixed, put little grills on the tweeters. maybe to protect them during the move. now, do you guys think i should remove them? i mean what can the grills do to the sound?

Do they appear to be permanently attached, or just taped on?

If they're taped on, or stuck on with really weak glue, then they were probably just intended to protect them during shipping and can be removed. If they appear to be more of a permanent fixture (part of the tweeters themselves), leave them on.

What kind of speakers/tweeters are they? Pics?

          by misterdoggy
Everyone showed their setups with 90% showing them with the Grills off. The sun in my living room will have an eventual effect of the part of the wood thats hidden behind the grill (fading maybe). Do you have yours off or on and why ?

Protecting 800 Series Tweeters from Kids
          by EAmin
Just wondering if anyone with kids has come up with a creative way of protecting the 800 series tweeters. My problem is not so much with my kids, but with rest of the younger population that come over to our house. I currently have 703s which have a much sturdier tweeter housing to keep out the little...

First of all, let me say that I think that I hate this hobby!, or whatever is. :P It's more like an addiction! After getting my Stentorians done, I had to build something else, and now the hunt is on. And, more importantly, I HAVE to have a reason to go out there and just listen to them. 8)

I feel the grills on the 683's are the cheapest I have ever seen.I have broken 2 pins on each speaker cab And I just replaced the grills and now have broken pins again.Sometimes when I watch a bluray that has a lot of bass , I can actually feel the air in my seating position from the flow port.Is this...
