I don't know what the 9.0's sound like. But a friend of mine has Diamond 9.2's with Yamaha receiver. Nice combo. The Yamaha gives a robustness to the bass. The 9.0's have the same tweeter as the 9.2's, so you won't want to toe them in too much, or they may sound a little bright. But more straight ahead and the soundstage is huge and the highs non-fatiguing, detailed, and airy.

If possible see if you can bring your receiver with you to audition them and see if you like the sound. Yamaha also pairs nicely with Paradigm speakers which are often sold affordably too. I like the Wharfedale treble better, though.

    Hope this helps.

Rotel RSX-1056 with Wharfedale front speakers
      by saltafevgas
      Hi all,

I don't hear much about Rotel systems serving Wharfedale speakers. Recently I purchased RSX-1056 Surround Receiver (aswell as DVD player RDV-1060) and I'm very satisfied with the quality (of both).
In a show-room I listened to Wharfedale Diamond 9.5 frontspeakers outperforming...

Can anybody tell me what that means? I see them just below Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 ($350/pair) whose rating is D. Do they seriously mean that they consider the wharfedale a better speaker? Meh :/

Listening impressions of some interesting drivers

Hey everyone, long time no see!! A friend of mine is outfitting a home theater and the speakers are falling to me to decide. Given the budget and goals we have settled on going with bookshelf size speakers all around, matched to 3 or 4 Peerless XLS 12" subs. So I rounded up some drivers and set...

Need Advice On My Set up
      by Bern
      Hi Guys,

Presently I had this set up below.
Appreciate if Anyone could advice me how do I get the best out of this system. Or do I need to add or change anything to get the best of it?
I'm more on HT (70%) then music, listen mostly on Jazz and Vocal (30%).
