There are a lot of decent receiver choices under $2,500, some even less than that, depending on what the real requirements are. What control features are important to you? How many channels, how much power do you need/want? What kind of decoding are you looking for? How important is multiple zone control?
Please help us understand what you value in a receiver, and then we can give a more informed, targeted opinion.

I recieved the behringer 2500 amp on yesterday from P.E. I am trying to connect it through the 1/4 jacks on the back using a radio shack 1/4 to rca adaptor. Problem is I cant get the signal lights to light up therefore no sound! What am I doing wrong. The adaptor is balanced with two black indentations... -
