Bottom-of-the-line AA DAC. Probably inferior to most modern ones, stand-alone or built-in.

Thanks for your answer. It took me a while...
I have decided to purchase ESI JULI@ and put it in my HTPC.
I'm using my HTPC as my main source for stereo music with the following gear: Rotel RB-1070 + Rotel RC-1070

All music is ripped in FLAC / WMA Loseless.
The ESI is connected (thru its analog Left & Right RCA outputs) with a MONSTER MK400 cable to the PRE and the sound is very good comparing to a very cheap MARANTZ DVD player which I used to listen to music with.

The question is:
If I connect the Audio Alchemy DAC MAN with an Optical MONSTER cable from the ESI JULI@ - will it give me a better sound?

How can I compare between the DAC on the ESI to the ones on the DAC MAN?

Just to give you an update:
I get a much better result using an Optical Monster cable thru the Audio Alchemy DAC MAN using FOOBAR2000 with WASAPI JULI@ SPDIF OUT.
