Anyone using a sub with 2 channel?

I've been tinkering with my gear today. Since my subs are next to my mains I thought I'd try and impliment them into my 2 channel setup. So, I have the wire going out of my power amp to the high pass inputs of each sub. However, instead of going from the speaker out of the sub to the mains. I just used the same terminal (high pass) to the speakers. this way, the speakers are still running full range. Kinda odd I know, but the results are good. The subs give me the lower octave that seemed to be missing.
Has anyone tried this type of setup. Or is adding a subwoofer to a 2 channel setup a no no.

I have two subs that I want to connect using balanced outputs. I can use the normal subwoofer channel and wanted to use the Programmable Pro 1 channel as identical to the other sub channel. Going through the "Mix Levels" menu, there is no choice for "Subwoofer", just LFE. I set...

      Hello all..

Just got my new toy about 1 month ago..

I replaced my Anthem D2V with ARC for this... Mainly because I have rotel amps and love the sound, and always thought the Anthem lacked in something..

To my surprise, the rotel blew the anthem away at much...

      by Sonnie Parker
I have spoken with Behringer and they have shown serious interest in designing a replacement for the BFD that is more suited to the consumer market. As many of you may already know... the DSP1124 has been discontinued. The replacement FBQ2496 only offers 1 preset and still doesn't get us many of the...

      Running a sub with 2 channel . . .
      by NMG
I'm just curious how many of you use a sub in your 2 channel systems (I guess that would make them 2.1 . . . LOL)?

My system consists of a pair of Paradigm Studio 80's, a Rotel RB-1080 power amp, a Rotel RC-1070 preamp, a Paradigm PW-2200 sub and a Yamaha CDC-755 CD changer.
