saddly no sacd divice outputs via s/pdif -
No SACD player will output DSD over SPDIF. First it would be technically impossible (too much data) and second, it would be against the rules.Comment

The digital output on DVD-A discs will be a Dolby Digital or DTS version of the album, not the high-res DVD-audio.

Yeah, peter, for transmitting SACD or DVD-A digitally, you either have to use HDMI 1.2/1.3 or a proprietary link like Denon's Denonlink.

tried watching a movie today with my newly hooked up subwoofer and no bass
suspected it was something defective on the preeamp
switched cd and dvd's inputs to see and nope still no bass (ie cd player works in either way dvd does not)
