And what do you think us Rotel guys will recommend.

What are you using at the moment. If you have something OK, I would rather save some more and upgrade speakers.

That has the same dacs as the great Rega Apollo, I wonder how it sounds. The Rega would stretch your budget though.

And the same DAC's as an Arcam CD 73, which sounds great.

Geez... wish I had your guys "budget" $$..

When someone asks me for budget player recommendations I'm thinking along the lines of $100, give or take....

              Guess it's all relative.
There are some things which are impossible to know, but it is impossible to know which things these are. :scratchhead:

The guy asked for a CD player, not a torture instrument :B

It's sure relative, I know some people with many times more money than me, and they almost laugh at the prices we pay (but they're friends so they try to understand instead)

I have this unit. You can't beat it for the price. This link is for reference only. I have not purchased anything from them.

How to add auto power-up kit to Rotel RB993
                    by Belgarath99
                    Hi

I recently acquire a Rotel RB993. Unlike the new Rotel RB1080, RB1095 etc, the RB993 does not have a 12V input. I like to know if anyone has suggestions on how to go about adding some sort of auto power-up kit to the power amp to work with my Denon 3805 receiver.

                    Ideally...

                    Rotel 1068 upgrade
                    by skuzzyb
Does anyone know if Rotel has any plans to upgrade the 1068? While I am a big fan of Rotel I can get better processing capabilities from a Yamaha RXV2600 and use the the Rotel amps. I would really like to keep my kit all Rotel but do not see where it makes sense to do so with the lack of features...

                    HI,

                    My set up consists of a NAD C 542 cd, Rotel RC 1070/RB 1080 and B&W 805 s.
Looking to upgrade the cd player. Options here in india are Rotel RCD 1072, Cyrus 6 vs, Rega Apollo and lastly the marantz SA 7001.

I believe compatibility is not an issue with cd...

                    B&W CAD versus USD pricing...
                    by jim777
I began thinking about the very remote idea of maybe changing my 703's for 803D's or 802D's. Get the idea, not for this week guys...

At first, I was thinking that the 802D price of 17k$CAD is way out of my league, and the 803D at 11k$CAD is a large stretch. However, I live only a few...

Opinion on whether to dump Rotel for HK or vice versa?
                    by Stevebez
                    Guys,

I am in process if buying a house which has a dedicated HT room already built. It has Vidikron projector (think its model 12). It also has a Harmon Kardon amp (my guess is its a receiver) with HK DVD and a bunch of creston lighting features (but thats not important here) ... Not...
