I just purchased a Classe CA-101 amp and on the back it has a phone style port for a remote turn on module that Classe used to use for remote turn, there are no mini plug type trigger ports at all, My dealer said that Classe no longer makes the module. Does anyone have any idea if one can be made or if a 12v trigger could be added?

No, you can't add a 12V trigger to the existing RJ12 jack because the method of operation is different from that of a standard trigger. The remote turn-on feature on your CA-101 requires momentary closure of the contacts of an s.p.s.t. switch in order to work (duplicates the action of depressing the power switch on the front panel). Standard triggers require continued application of 12V to keep the amp turned on. The Classé Remote Interface Module was meant to work in conjunction with the remote for Classé preamps. I don't know why Classé ever went with that type of remote turn-on in the earlier legacy amps instead of a standard trigger. Later production runs of the same amp came with the standard trigger. The Remote Interface was cool though. It looked like a little component unto itself and could control up to 6 amplifiers simultaneously. FWIW, following is a diagram from Classé for a wired remote pigtail switch with/without LED using an RJ12 phone connector and 6-conductor cord that will permit manual turn-on of your amp if its located in an inconvenient or not readily accessible location.Originally posted by SoundgravyI just purchased a Classé CA-101 amp and on the back it has a phone style port for a remote turn on module that Classé used to use for remote turn, there are no mini plug type trigger ports at all, My dealer said that Classé no longer makes the module. Thanks Glen, that is a really weird setup that they made. I called Classe and they didnt really have any answers either. On option they gave me was just to leave my amp on all of the time. I dont know if I want to do that.Robert P. 8)

by JoshEEHello Everyone,
I've got a CA150 amp and was wondering if I can turn it on remotely? The manual makes a small comment about this but the connector on the back isn't the standard 1/8" jack for a remote trigger. Is this a Classe specific connector? I'm using an Outlaw 950 as a preamp...-

by Glen BThere is a Classé Model RC-1 Remote Interface with remote control for sale on Ebay right now. Anyone with legacy models that have the RJ12 jack on the rear panel and would like to operate their amp remotely should not let this interface slip away. The RC-1 will trigger up to 6 amps in 2-second sequence....-

by Audio JunkieHi All, my first post! I'm a long time Rotel fan
I have 2 RB1091 amps which I got a deal on from my local dealer several years ago. At the time he said the 12v triggers weren't working. At the time this wasn't a problem for me. However since upgrading my system late last year I now want to...-

by ian1975Hi,
I ordered the Classé CAM-400 monoblocks, the B&W 805di and the sub JL audio F113. I received the monoblocks today and installed them with the SSP-800 and under the trigger mode. When I try to use my SSP-800 Classé remote to change the volume or trying to do anything, it shuts...-

by D-bucketI recently tried to identify what specific classé equipment a couple of older classé remotes were originally used with. The lettering & labels were quite worn and difficult to make out, but I figured I could quickly make the identifications from the layout of the keys and searching the internet....-
