Rotel 1072 ok as transport for Classe ssp-300 and 3200??

    Rotel 1072 ok as transport for Classe ssp-300 and 3200??

    I just came across a smokin' deal on a Classe ssp-300 processor and 3200 amp ... all brand new. Will the Rotel 1072 cd serve as a decent cd transport while processing throught the classe? Or should I use the 1072 dacs?

      The 1072 will be great, but the best will be to try for yourself which dac sounds the best (1072 or classe processor). I have a 1072 with a McIntosh integrated amp and it is sweet... sounds alot better than the 1050 Rotel DVD player or my extigy sound card.

      Do you already have the 1072 or you would buy it?

          i have the 1072 already. I am just sick of buying all this stuff, then dumping it 5 months later... i.e. switch from Rotel to Classe gear.

              Well you should be fine with the 1072, at least for now...

              With the RA1062, it's the best bang-for-the-buck I've ever heard.

              Seriously, it's great. I'm thinking of changing it for a McIntosh but not sure how much a difference it will really make with the rest of my stuff... not that the Rotel ain't good because it's great.

                  I finally got to read the article. I'm glad to see that he seemed to rate it higher than the bel canto, and only slightly lower than the pass labs, which costs >$4k more. I can't help but wonder how...

                  I spent the last couple of years searching and demo-ing electronics to match up with my 803D's, but after obtaining some Mcintosh equipment a few months ago I started second guessing myself on if I had made the right decision or if I should have stayed with my original plan of buying Classe electronics....

                  Aragon 8008X3 equal in value to CA-3200?

                  My non Classe/B&W system in our PA family room was destroyed during a lightening storm, and along with numerous items, my Aragon 8008X3 amp is caput. I have checked around and can no longer get parts or service.

                  I have replacement cost insurance, but it's difficult to value some items...

                  I own a pair of Nautilus 802 and I am looking for an amp. I am interested in a Classe CA-3200 since I want something for my HTM1 as well. But at that price or less I can get a used Krell Fpb300cx. I have never heard any Krell amp so it would be great to hear someone with experiences...
