Does anyone know anything about Plinius pre-amp and amp?

Hi,
I was at local audio shop and i saw Plinius pre-amp. It sounded pretty good. I was wondering if anyone has compared Plinius to Musical Fidelity?

Plinius gear is designed and built in New Zealand so you tend to come across it from time to time here. Everyone speaks highly of it. A friend of mine owns a Plinius 9100 integrated amplifier and it sounds good to me. He's very happy with it, but he would be because he took ages to select it.

They are real high end amps. Even their integrates beat many seperates.

I've heard good things. A dealer near me, that carries megga buck systems carries them. He mates them with $10,000 MBL monitor speakers.

How do you compare Plinius to Musical Fidelity?

though their signature sounds are subjective, IMO Plinius is far better in all respects compared to MF, like more body, more lively & life like. MFs, I feel are towards little brighter side & bit fussy in matching with your other chain of eqmnt. These are just my observations.

Do you mix and match your system ? Is it always better to have same brand for the componnents in the system? I'm just trying to find good pre-amp or if needed, an amp to go along with. Currently i have Rotel gears (rc-1070, rb-1080, and rcd-1072).
