Which CD player do you use with your B&W 800 series?

I see a lot of people uses Rotel system with their B&W speakers. Does anyone recommend other CD players that compliment the 800 series? I'm looking at something no more than $3000.

    Thank you

Was running a Classe CDP .3 with mine until I upgraded to the Meridian 598DP/568.2MM combo.

I picked up an Ayre D-1X for $3000 but it is just a transport and you need a processor to run it. Sounds great !

I would recommend a Wadia 302 for around $3k. I am on my 4th Wadia player now.

              Hi,

I've copied this here from Club B&W - since it is really more a "what's the best CD player thread..."

                From a Marantz CD-80 to a Audionet Art V2.

cary 303/300...it gives you both solid state and tube outputs as well as multiple upsampling possibilities. you cant go wrong with this player.

I am looking to purchase some used speakers. I am a little confused about when the different 800 diamond series were released. I am looking at some 7 month old 804D and some 803D that are three years old. The 803D's are $500 more than the 804D's. Was there an upgrade to the Diamond series or were...

Reading some posts involving the old and new 800 Series where the diamond tweeter is concerned can be a bit confusing at times. For instance the new 805 Diamond has been labeled everything from 805D, 805Di to 805D2. According to B&W they are referencing the new series as the D2 series for short....

Does anyone have experience with the B&W bass extension filters for the 800 matrix series? I have 802s and am trying to determine my interest in an ebay offering. Thanks!

Just a little nit about some of the posts I'm reading about the 800 S series speakers. Sometimes it's hard to know which speaker a poster is referring to without having to dig really deep into their post or if the poster is referring to the speakers in the plural. I know it would make things more...

Can someone post the north america B&W new 800 series price or MRSP please? it helps to estimate the upgrade $ damage.

                              Thanks
