RCD1072 with Vintage Equipment

The RCD 1072 running through Rotel equipment sounds fantastic, wonderful. Have a question, I'm running vintage equipment:

Conrad Johnson PV12L PreAmp
Denon POA 1500 power Amp
Polk Audio SDA 1B Speakers

I realize that ultimately I'll have to test drive it thru my system but given this equipment you think the 1072 a good match? Or can you recommend an alternative. Down the road I'll probably upgrade the amp to the 1080 but for now the old guy is cruisin' with vintage.

Some of that vintage gear is the best looking stuff around, if it sounds good then it's even better!
For the next few months I too will be researching amps. Probably used to get the biggest bang for the buck.

Pat, concerning amps, besides a new 1080, I've been doing alot of reading on used Classe equipment and would like to check further into Sonograph (sp?) which was made by Conrad Johnson I believe. Both SS but supposed to sound tube like. Stuff runs thru Audiogon frequently. Because the Polk speaker I have are a bit bright looking for equip with a warm edge. Dave
