    which amp to buy

I am considering two amps that I am not that familiar with.
Musical Fidelity A3cr and McCormack DNA-125. Does anybody out there have any opinions on these amps

Not that I am aware of. What speakers were you listening to at the time? Are there any other amps that you would compare them to. Rotel, Parasound, or are they not in the same ballpark?

A friend of mine has a Mccormack I think it is the DNA .5 intergrated and the 100w power amp that thing sounds amazing kills my Rotel. I found the Music Fidelity too smooth for my taste.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I am going out tomorrow to demo a McCormack and try to compare it with some of my other choices. Going to be a difficult day of listening to music.

            Springer,

How did it turn out? I've never heard the McCormack (only heard great things about it), I have heard the Musical Fidelity and I loved the "warm/open" sound it produced. Of course, speaker leanings matter when mating amps and the MFs were paired with Monitor Audios, of which I know nothing about specifically, and the sound was very good. Of course, MF does have a full load of other amps as well.

            Good Luck.

The McCormack is an excellent amp unfortunately I have no dealers in the area for Musical Fidelity. I have a friend that has a Marsh A400s asnd I have decided on it, matter of fact it's on it's way as I speak. I love getting new toys. I will let you know how it sounds when it arrives

                  Hi,

Hope viewers here 've come accross on sound quality of McCormack DNA125 & Quad 909 power amps. How is the over all quality of the sound of these 2 power amps compared to Rotel 1080? I was told any thing above Rotel, I'll 've diminished returns or price performance-wise, it's not...

Before I place an order I was curious if anyone around Columbus Ohio would willing to demo a pair of Statements, Anthologies or Finalists?

                  Thanks!

I was looking at that mess of a thread I've got going called "Ballpark release dates", and have come up with a much better way to do it. I'll take an idea from Thomas's DIY links and make it so no one else posts in that thread but me. I'm also going to have one post for each month, then you'll...

This exchange, which I would have linked except that the way frames are used on their site hides URLs, says it all. From 105 lb. to 46 lb. (8008X5 to 2005, 5 ch. amp; both 200 w/ch)

Geez, folks. This makes me a little angry, when I think about it for very much. The new 2002, rated...

                  Remote amps with multi circuits?
                  by Rolyasm
I am looking to put some pro amps through a wall behind my home theater components, into another room where they will be out of reach, out of sound. I hear some people say that you have to turn these pro amps on and off, manually, every time. I may also be running some extra dedicated 20 Amp circuits...
