    Looking very good, Ergo!

You're dealing with a familiar problem for complex 3 way crossovers with premium parts- where the heck do you put all those large parts?

With the recent Ardent activity it gave me a boost also to finalize the Wavecor Ardent build. I have been listening to them for a year+ now, but the Xovers still lived outside the box.
Originally I built the mid/tweeter Xover with lesser parts and then a while later with better parts, but it took me 1,5y to really finalize the project (just looked at build thread start which was in July 2018. )

Finishing a pair of speakers of course means that it is a high time to start a new project... hmm, what project would that be now. Exceeding this one will the tough.

It is so great when someone is satisfied with what he has and then chooses to make something again just for the thrill of it.

I'm genuinely happy for you. I wanted to write -enjoy- but i see that you already do

            Thanks Zvu!
I indeed enjoy these speakers a lot. It's the 3rd design I've done based on Jon's projects. Will be seen if he comes up with something so interesting that I will consider another one (very likely based on latest developments) or perhaps take my own tangent for a change. I do enjoy the process as much as the outcomes, so yeah that keeps me going as it does for most of us I'm sure.

Nice to see them all buttoned up Ergo .... So how much volume did you loose with those monster caps?

As for Wavecor Ardents, yeah, they do take a bit of volume. But all in all I think it's pretty similar to Jon's as the original drawings did not have a cavity insiode the base but in my case the bass Xover part basically lives in the base and the mid/high part reaches into the box.

I got all those Clarity caps while they were on sale at Madisound. Had them sent US internal to myself while there on business trip... I did not dare to put those into luggage though and had them on carry on luggage instead. Was thinking that if security X-rays the bag they might end up shooting it with water cannon as it looks suspiciously like b***

                  Hi Ergo,

I'm happy to see you've had this much fun with this project, it's not one that is cheap to build or easy to make a commitment to, but I've been really happy at how much a variety of people have enjoyed these...

As an ex working musician at one time, in the end it's all about the connection to the music...

So how did those big caps work out with the Purifi modules?

..and "in a pinch" they'll do enough current for spot-welding. :P
