Looks sharp man. I love it.
Awesome, can I get some feedback on how it handles the lowest music octaves, 20-35hz roughly? Maybe some measurements if you've got em? I have a friend who wants a sub for music only and he's leaning towards a ported reference 12. I'm kind of leaning him towards a sealed 12 or 15 since all he cares about is music, but I'm not sure really, ported isn't bad after all, especially if done right, and I've made a few of em.
Also did you notice any improvement in the sound of your SR-71 when you high passed em at 80. I know the ER18RNX is a very capable woofer so maybe it's not as noticeable but when I highpassed my little microbes at 77hz it really cleared up the midrange at moderate and high volumes, so much smoother and sweeter. I never knew what I was missing out on till I did that.- Bottom

I can't say that I'm noticing an improvement in SQ out of the ER18's by high-passing them... however, I do like how it sounds with only the sub handling bass duty... the bass sounds cleaner and more defined to me to not have the ER18's reinforcing what the sub can so easily handle on its own... so yes, I am preferring how the system sounds with the mains high passed.- Bottom

Very nice. I'm thinking of building a sub with that same driver and amp (just finishing up my first speaker build, a pair of Tritrix TLs). What were the overall dimensions of your enclosure? I assume you got the 1.8L volume off of CAD drawings, since you're taking the curved baffles into account?- Bottom

by m_bathkeSo I am new to the whole DIY loudspeaker thing, but this is what I am looking to do. I want to build a threeway tower speaker that will sound much better than the JBL e90 Towers which are TMWW araingement with dual 8" woofers. Anyway, I work for the largest consumer electronics store in the U.S.A....-

by MaximilianoI think I need advice from experts here. I want to build a subwoofer for my 80/20 music/HT system. I want to cross this sub with my 6.5" sealed 2-ways at 80 Hz. The sub will be placed in front between the speakers. Room is not big (12 by 14 ft). I don't listen very loud. So my primary goal is SQ...-

by Ray CollinsI am re-cycling a pair of Bozak B302A Century enclosures for use as sub woofers in my HT ( room size is 13' x 14' ) and need help selecting drivers to suit the enclosure volume. The Bozaks were trimmed to 24" x 24" x 14" to fit at the ends of our sofa so they will also serve as end tables....-

by lcolbur1Correct me if I'm wrong, but once I input the required driver specifications into Unibox, it calculates a recommended volume, be it for sealed, ported, etc. I'm assuming this volume is accurate, but based on what? I input Dayton's 5" reference driver specs and got a suggested volume of 2.6 liters...-

by silvercansI was messing around with some modeling software for my Dayton RS315HF and to my surprise it came back with a recommended sealed volume of 1.268 cf with some fill (F3 was 41 HZ). Does this sound right? From what I read on the forum it seems people are recommending much bigger volumes. What do you recommend?...-
