    Modula MT delay network?

    Hi,
Does the Modula MT crossover compensate for the fact that the tweeter and the driver are radiating from different planes, i.e. are there delay networks inserted in the tweeter side of the crossover, and if so, can someone point that out to me?

    Thanks,
    Richard

It's allll part of the package

When designing crossovers you don't have to do everything as a discrete circuit.

It uses mixed order slopes to compensate the different acoustic centers of the drivers. Unless true LR2 slopes are implemented, a separate delay network (e.g., the one used in Zaph's ZD5 design) is rarely used.

        Zaph ZD5
        by Lindahl
Been browsing for a while now, read through JonW's Modula thread, and read about the Zaph ZP5. I love the slim profile of Totem speakers, and the 5" Revelator looks like the only way to get that slim profile and not give up too much bass. Unfortunately it costs an arm and a leg. The only problem,...

        ZRT vs Modula NeoD CC
        by Doug Fraser
I am trying to understand what the difference in sound will be between the new Zaph ZRT project vs the Modula NeoD CC.

The speakers will be ceiling mounted (near corners) in a bedroom about 15' x 15'. I have a pair of RS 180 Modula MT's in there now and they sound very good. However,...

        Hi everyone,

I’ve read this Forum with great interest for some time, but I haven’t written anything about my designs here yet. I thought I would share my latest design called the Sequence Two – Monitor.

It uses very high quality drivers from AudioTechnology and ScanSpeak...

        Audio delay possible w/RDC-7?
        by danyu
I've heard numerous reports of lip-sync issues with the Sharp XV-Z9000U projector. Some have suggested using devices to delay the audio signal to compensate for this. Does the RDC-7 have the capability to do this?

        thanks,
        Dan

Breaking with modern conventions - a highly musical 2-way system using an 8" woofer
        by theSven
        By Jon Hancock

This article will describe the fruits of my efforts to build a moderate sized speaker which might be moderately above average in performance for a basic two-way system. I desired a speaker like this both for my own use in secondary systems, and to fill a need for some friends, who desired fairly full range response (i.e., “it’s gotta have good bass”). Also, though I have access to a good wood shop, many potential DIY enthusiasts may not, so I hoped to use a modified...
