    Receiver to Integrated Amp?

Hi all, having seen so many good integrated 2 channel amps up for sale at very cheap prices, I was contemplating hooking up an integrated amp to the preouts on my receiver. ( fronts 2 only).

Is this possible without causing any problems?
Also it seems a bit weird having 2 volume controls and 2 sets of tone adjustments etc.

Any info on whether this is possible or recommended would be great.

There ae some real bargains in integrated 2 channel amps, everyone must be getting into home theatre setups.

    Thanks guys

I've mistakenly placed the above question in the wrong forum.

I will repeat it in the Home theatre forum. Thanks

I'm kicking around the idea of setting up a nice little 2 channel system in my bedroom. I don't want to spend much at all, since I'll not be doing any real critical listening. Mostly just some soft music at bedtime.

I have a pair of Snell Acoustics Type K/II speakers already. I'll be...

Recommendation for a Home Theatre Receiver?
      by guyk
I am currently trying to decide which home theatre receivers I should consider to run a five speaker system and eventually a seven speaker system. Speakers are B&W 600 S3 series. My budget for the receiver is 500 to 700. I have been leaning towards Onkyo(looks and features), but I would like to...

      Receiver to replace Rotel Pre-Pro
      by aud19
Well it's lasted about 14 years but a lack of HDMI and support for HD surround formats etc is starting to catch up to it. So despite it still being an excellent sounding unit, it may be time to shuffle it off to secondary (PC) system status and get a new receiver to run my trusty Rotel 1075 amp....

I've been alluding to a new home renovation and resulting home theatre/listening room in a few threads now. So I thought I might as well start a dedicated thread to share some more details and get some insights from this community. The permitting process in SF is ridiculous so I would not expect construction...
