Excel tip to get negative numbers in (brackets)

Found out something in Excel/windows that has been bugging me for a while. Google is your friend!

I've hated how in Excel I could not get negative numbers to show in () when I click the "$" or "," button. I always ended up having to go into the formating section and to select it manually.

Where I'm working right now, I actually had to do a custom format. That was driving my batty! I knew there must be a way to either customize the button or worst case record some kind of macro. Well I found a simpler solution. It was in the Regional Settings.

    Start>Settings>Control Panel>Regional and Language Settings>Regional
Options>Customize>Currency>Negative Currency Format. Click on drop-down arrow and select the ($1.1)

Note: this is under the "Currency" tab in Regional Options. Changing under the "Numbers" tab only does not do the trick.

Apply and OK>Apply your way out.

I tested this and it works like a charm.

Oh the little things in life that make me happy.

Just replaced an old Sony ES receiver with a Denon 3808ci. I should probably know the answer, but can someone enlighten me on the true meaning of the volume levels? My ears remember a certain sound level at -72.0 on the meter, but the Denon produces almost no sound at -72.0. I have to turn it up...

I posted a WTB thread on a few sites for some Seas Excel 6-7" mids. I got a hit for a new pair of Excel W17EX002s, which are no longer a current model. Can anyone tell me anything about these? I found some links on the net with more information about this driver. I could be wrong, but it looks...

    Hello,

Driver selection, as I have discussed at length with members at this board, is critical. Right now I am working with Roman to design a 3-way with RS28a, W22EX001, and either a W15CH excel or W15CY excel. He has simulated a fabulous design that uses the W15CY, but my attention...

As the new 1068 is soon to arrive I can get a pretty decent deal on a 1066 demo that the store here in town has.
