I have had a Harmony 880 for quite a while, worked great for a long time then all of a sudden it won't take updates, lists some kind of Java error. I updated the firmware, no difference. Anyone had anything like that?

well wouldn't you know, it's just like taking your car to a mechanic. I haven't tried it in a while, I just started it up which got the latest Logitech app version, and it now seems to work. Last time I tried a while ago, I updated both the software and the remote firmware, and was getting the error with every computer I tried, Mac or Windows.
Well, thanks for prompting me to try again, it may be ok now! I have to change some activities programming for new gear, so there will be more update attempts, but this is the first time in a long time any update worked. It is a new version of the Logitech SW so they may have fixed something there.Comment

I currently have the Harmony 628 and I love it, but I just seen the new 880 Harmony online. Does anybody have any reviews on this model. From the picture I dont think I like the button layout. Everything is too conjested. I like to be able to pick my remote up in the dark and know what button I am pressing... -
I have always appreciated the functionality of Logitech's Harmony 880 but I just couldn't get over its egg shaped look and feel so I never bought one. Today I discovered an alternative, the Harman Kardon TC30. It is functionally identical to the 880, that's because HK licensed the software from Logitech.... -
I have a Harmony 880 that I bought a couple of years ago that wasnt used much. At the time I also had a URC MX-500 which I liked better and was the main remote. Well that has broke so I am back on the 880 and cant get the macros to work correctly.

1) The "Device" button, what does that do?
2) The "Activities" button, what does that do?
