    New URC toys for me!

Came home from CEDIA, and some stuff I ordered there showed up... new toys! Now I've got to figure out how to set up and program these things...

Hey, the CD they included with the MX-3000 didn't have the "Complete Control" program on it, and the one you can access from the URC site doesn't have Live Update. Anybody else have a version of it?

Ask your dealer. He should provide you with the editor version that can be live updated. That is if you bought from an authorized dealer.

Bought direct from URC at CEDIA, so I'll see if I can contact the region rep sometime. Kind of a pain.

Sounds like the rest of my order showed up since I've been out on a business trip. Got the new MX-980 (I think that's the new model released this month) waiting for me, and a couple other things. Will have to get home and do some programming. Still don't have the full-functioning programming software, though.

Let us know how you like that 980. I'm thinking about replacing my MX-900 with this one after they get all the usual bugs and kinks worked out.

Oh, baby... lookie what stuff showed up from Universal Remote Control today!

I was able to place an advance order at CEDIA for some brand new products that just started shipping this week. This is URC's new flagship remote control, the MX-6000:

I've asked, and gotten an "ok" to share some emerging news here that could be of interest to Parasound users.

First, as I posted in the other thread here last week, Parasound is launching a Bypass function for the JC 2, which enables users to insert a JC 2 in a fine multichannel...

Spent a good hour or so with the Parasound guys at their CEDIA booth today. What a great bunch of guys--one of the few companies (much less the President of said company!) that took the time just to ask about personal stuff in life, how things were going, wanted to see pictures of my daughter, etc....

Big apologies for a little delay in getting this out. I had several other conferences after CEDIA and some vacation. But now I'm sick in bed  so I've got a minute to finally get this posted.

Good CEDIA this year. Wasn't the best, but all in all I'd say it was a good one. Maybe...
