I have always appreciated the functionality of Logitech's Harmony 880 but I just couldn't get over its egg shaped look and feel so I never bought one. Today I discovered an alternative, the Harman Kardon TC30. It is functionally identical to the 880, that's because HK licensed the software from Logitech. But that is where the similarities end. The TC30's design is more traditional but the buttons are smartly laid out and the remote feels good in the hand.
It carries a $50 premium but if you are looking for a more sleek spin-off of the 880 then you might want to consider the TC30.
