Pronto Problem

My pronto has stopped working :M

It was working a couple weeks ago (Been busy with xmas for the past few weeks), went to use it today and the screen doesn't come on when touched. I changed the batterys for some rechargables that i had just charged, no go. The screen just wont come on.

Any ideas?

First things first, try a fresh set of alkaline batteries and of course double check their orientation.

I know this sounds obvious ,but did you check to see if someone turned the contrast on the touch screen all the way in one direction.

Try pushing the reset button on the bottom of the pronto. This will reset it. You should hear a double beep when it boots up.

If you hear the beep but get no screen, check the contrast setting. If it doesn't beep or the screen doesn't go on at all, the Pronto needs to be serviced.

What model Pronto is it?

Remotes working again.

After trying a number of things i took it to a friend of mine (Electronics wizard lol). He found a open resistor in the power supply. Replaced it and all is good now.
