    Dual Display Wierdness

My PC is misbehaving, and I could sure use some help.

    I'm running a:

    Dell Precision PWS 470
    Xeon 3.2 GHz CPU
ATI FireGL V3100 graphics cards (both monitors)
    Dell 19" flatscreen monitor - model 1905FP
    XP Pro SP 2

The problem I'm having is that when I pan from screen to screen, the application windows and cursor are about 1" higher on the right (secondary) screen. What makes it stranger is that my desktop photo appears in the same location on both screens - no vertical offset. I'm running both at 1280x1024.

    Any thoughts?

Sounds like a driver issue to me...

I saw there were some people running Linux machines complaining of the same sort of thing with their drivers... (I know, not WinXP)...but maybe check for a new version of drivers...?!

I updated the drivers to the latest ATI version available. No soup for me. It's still doing the same vertical mismatch, only it's about a 3 inch offset now.

        D'oh. ops: :M : :B

I guess the driver update DID work. Once I saw that the monitors were mis-aligned in the Display Properties box's upper window and moved them to the correct orientation everything is just peachy.
