IR, RF and X10 with PC

I posted this on the electronic devises forum b/c I have the Harmony remote, but may be it should be here. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

I have the Harmony H680 remote and I would like to use it to control my computer and my X10 lighting. If I were to get the USB UIRT to receive the IR commands from the Harmony, I assume I could use Girder and control winamp, etc. But, how would I go about setting something up to send out the RF commans to the X10 controls. I have the serial firecracker adaptor for X10... can that be used with Girder and USB UIRT to handle that aspect?

My setup is in my living room. I would like to keep my ATI RF remote control in my bedroom since I can control the computer from back there and use the Harmony in the living room via IR. If I hooked up the Firecracker serial adaptor, ATI remote USB receiver and USB IR receiver all at the same time on the computer, will I have conflicts?

      Odd RSP-976 remote issues...and a fix!
      by DrJazz
I just wanted to share an odd experience I've been having with my trusty old RSP-976 surround sound processor. For quite some time now (well over a year, maybe more) I've been having one helluva time with the remote control. Specifically, the 976 would only respond intermittently to volume up and down...

I picked up a Harmony One remote about 6 months ago - worked great, programming was easy, simple to use for everyone.

Until yesterday - my daughter stepped on it, right on the lcd portion ...

The lcd screen is normal in the bottom third, but the top two thirds are mostly...

      X10.com fail to support

Not sure if this thread belongs here, or anywhere. In June I bought a 6 zone 4 source multi-zone amplifier from X10.com. They had the warranty listed as one year. The product is a Russound product. Well, I just got my house built and installed the system and it isn't working. I called X10 and...

Logitech removes features from Harmony Remotes!
      by chasw98
I have had Harmony remotes for more than 4 years now and up until yesterday I have been very happy with their functionality. They have allowed me to have a complex system that the family could operate.

Logitech has deemed it neccesary to remove the capability to send multiple commands...

I am looking to upgrade my Harmony 659 and have these 2 choices in mind. How do these compare for quality and accessability.

I do like my Harmony remote now but it seems to be eating the batteries. I change them almost every month. I hope this is not a commen problem with Harmony or...
