This PJ really has my interest. I have been reading good things about it. It's an XGA PJ but is most likely being used with a 16:9 screen. Any HT GUide members own this baby or interested in it ?

It looks like a nice projector. I did some quick research on it, it's a 4:3 DLP unit, so you'll lose some resolution if you use it with a 16:9 screen. But it doesn't sound like it has the glitches that some of the competition has. Well, maybe rainbows if you're sensitive to them, but so do all DLPs other than expensive 3 chip models.
If NEC comes out with a HD2-chip based 16:9 version of the HT1000 it would be killer.

The remote for the 1098 is trying to control my NEC HT 1000 projector. My NEC is on standby mode until it receives a signal from the NEC remote to power on. Got my $225 CDN rebate cheque today. I shoulda waited, though. They are now offering a $700 rebate. I tried to convince them I should be eligible :LOL: but they just laughed.
