    Optoma HD 81 Blanking out.

    Help please.
I am running an Optoma HD 81 using an Impact Acoustics Rapid run HDMI cable, It has an active wall plate for the signal.
Initially I was getting streaks running across the picture and the picture would blank out now and again. During the loss of picture I would see a blue screen, then the picture would return.
Optoma came abd changed a pc board in the PJ and the streaks are much less though still occur now and again.
BUT the blanking out is still occuring.
Any thoughts ideas? I have just sent a message to Optoma today, but the wealth of knowledge avalable here may be a better source.
I am not running it off an HD/BLU Ray player yet.
    Help Pls.

OOOOOOOptomaa! Bad choice and luck I guess. Had one of their PJs once. Broke every 3-6 months, got repaired sent back etc etc.. refused to replace. After the 6 or 7 malfunction finally got replaced with a refurb. And that one died within 5 months.. their awesome cust service told me nicely to p*** off... 'cause the warranty just expired

Oh dear, that is awful. I hope that is not what I am going to experience.
They are coming to fetch the PJ and the scaler and put it on their test bench.
Could this be from the HDMI cable? I am running it via an impact acoustics hdmi cable with an active wall plate.

Well they came and fetched the PJ and the sacler, changed some pc boards in both units(said there was a problem with communication), and have watched four movies so far without any hitches. Hope it stays that way.
Haven't run it in its full HD capacity yet though.

My NEC HT1000 is up and running
              by George Bellefontaine
I received my PJ Monday and toyed with various settings last night and watched some scenes from various dvds and finally an entire movie.

First I used Avia to properly set brightness, contrast, color and hue. I then used some picture settings suggested by another owner who seems to have...

Anamorphic Optoma Lens or Panamorph Lens?
              by speakerboy
Hi, I have an opportunity to buy a used and well discounted demo Optoma lens and sled. I emailed Panamorph and they mentioned that the Optoma is a bit older and the current Panamorphs have some improvements. What they are, I don't know yet. I'm still waiting to hear back.

              So the question...

              Looking for Blanking-off plates DM640
              by ahmorgan
I have recently purchased a pair of used DM640s and they are missing the plastic blanking-off plates which seal the ports.

The speakers originally came with two different sized ports and a pair of blanking-off plates. The ports allow you to fine tune the sound, the plates reduce the...

              Optoma HD70 and Mitsubishi HD1000U
              by Dean McManis
It's pretty amazing to see the full 1080p projectors available for under $4000, but even more amazing to see how that has driven down the prices of native 720p projectors.

The two that have recently caught my attention are the Mitsubishi HD1000U and the Optoma HD70.

              Both...

              picture turning yellowish
              by sirbogey
When watching a DVD, suddenly my Optoma EzPro 753 projects the yellow color way too exagerated. Basically the screen becomes unwatchable. The same effect is true when a scene has been shot with the sun light shining in the background, one can hardly see what's going on in the scene and the picture has...
