    TV Recommendations

I'm looking to spend $1500 or less (CDN). Bellow are three that look interesting. It will be used to watch movies/tv and for PC use. Viewing distance will be 9'-10'. I was leaning towards the Viewsonic for fear of burn-in on the Panasonic...

    Panasonic TH42PH10 - 42" - $1270
    Viewsonic N4285P HDTV - 42" - $1370
    Olevia 252TFHD LCD TV - 52" - $1500

    Thanks.

I vote for the Panny. If you properly set up the picture levels and don't leave stationary images on it 24X7 burn-in won't be an issue. Otherwise the only time I'd go LCD is if it's going in a room with zero light control and you plan to do your lion's share of viewing around noon.

If you can stretch the budget at all, I highly recommend the Pioneer Kuro plasma as well. Get one while you still can.

How do you figure the Olevia is better? They have had lots of issues with their TV's dying after a year or so. You have to factor that when shopping for cheap brands. Personally I would go with the Panny.
