    HDTV via cheap cable

    I recently purchased an HDMI cable for my tv. The cable cost was 17 cents.
    I see an improvement over my component cables.
    Just thought I'd mention this.

                      Just grabbed 2 HDMI to DVI cables...but the were like 10 bucks. I could care less as long as its cheaper then locally.

                          I don't know squat about scalers and doublers but this looks like it might could do some good, especially with cable and satellite sources. Price sounds very reasonable at ~$600. Expected release date in September 2003.

                          Comcast has a new HDTV cable box verson 3 with a HDMI output. My sony HDTV only has a DVI input. The cable installer brought this new box with a HDMI to DVI cable. This didn't work properly. No picture after a hour or so of viewing. We had to switch back to component output...
