Calibrating Sony SXRD

G'day to you,

Does anyone know the best and easiest way to calibrate these sets for contrast and brightness.
I find this the hardest thing to do as all my sources go through DVDO's VP50. 8O
where should I start?
Should I buy avia disc or something? :W
I know it is a juggling act,but still the hardest thing.
I did think of getting my AVspecialist to do this but at $600(could be well spent though)I thought I'l look for some help first.
tv is Sony KDS60R2000 and as stated everything is processed by the VP50.
Anyone that has any experience with both of these products,do you have any insight to pass on.

I have the kds-60a2000....you should try the avs-forum if you don't wish to purchase a avia disc. $600 is a little absurd, but there are a ton of settings...good luck

Now Im just waiting

Nearly all pricing here in Oz are absurd,but Im willing if I have to.
Plus I have quite a few things to calibrate

Either AVIA or DVE is a good starting point for the DIY'er and should help get you most of the way there for little money and a bit of work :T

If you want to get every last ounce of performance out of your set, the best route would be to have it calibrated by an ISF certified tech:

And yes, that $600 does seem a bit steep unless they're doing every RPTV tweak known to man including lining the internal cabinet maybe...?
