Olevia LCDs are pretty much just rebadged LG displays.
But the name brand manufacturers could be conspiring to keep up their own "name brand" prices higher to maintain better profit margins.
Japanese electronics companies have had silent oligopolies for decades to gain competitive advantages. 8)
As long as real world prices keep falling, I can live just fine with an affordable rebadged name brand set. :TComment

My RDV-1093 seems to have gotten fried in a recent power outage. Although it was connected to a Surge Protector, afterwards the on/off light was just flickering on and off along with the HDMI light. Turning it off and unplugging it for an hour made no difference; it doesn't run... -
