    Sony or Toshiba?

    Hello All,

    Which TV would you get & why?
    Sony's 55' SXRD 1080p
    Toshiba's56 DLP 1080p

    We currently have a Toshiba 57' rear projector. The wife wants something thinner & cute.

      SXRD definitely. It's the closest I've seen to CRT PQ in a 1080p (or other res) microchip display.

      If you do want to look at DLP's IMO Samsung's are the better units available... in mainstream equipment anyways.

          Yup, I'd go SXRD too. It's a technology I really like. (but don't own yet)

              Chris,

              I'm waiting until the SuperBowl is over. The best price I got on the Sony was $2600 for the 55' at Tweeter. After the SB hopefully it will be around $2000.
