Ok. I love the new Sony LCoS HDTVs - I get a warm, fuzzy feeling each time I think about the R50XBR1 at nite before bed . . . . .
But I am annoyed by the fact that it will not accept a 1080p signal - ostensibly because of unresolved copyright issues. So, I have a few questions that I hope the cognoscenti on this board can answer:
1) when can we expect the next generation of XBR HDTVs to hit market? Will the next model accept 1080p?
2) presumably they will have a lower MSRP than the current models - any thoughts on that topic?
3) any thoughts on what other upgrades will be available on the 2d generation models - two way CableCard, for example?
Thanks in advance,
M.
