New Consumer Site to Drive Digital/HDTV in Canada

A good move by the industry....let's hope this gets the ball rolling forward up North...

CDTV is a not-for-profit Canadian TV industry organization, dedicated to providing expert information to you as we make the transition to HDTV in Canada. Our members include Broadcasters, Set Manufacturers, Content Producers, and Satellite and Cable Companies working in unison to provide you with information to help you in the transition to the world of High Definition Television.

Great source of HD info for us Canucks. nice find :T

I've been quite dissapointed, though not terribly surprised, by the lack of information available regarding HD in Canada, so this really is quite nice :yesnod:

We have been lucky enough to have an equivalant site in Australia for a few years now and its a great resource and great for place to send friends and workmates for up to date info as well as hosting a good forum for the local HT scene.I am sure its helped push the digital bandwagon out here with at least half of my work mates buying set top boxes in the last few months .

Check out Digital Broad Casting Australia http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?

        Good find Gordon..
I've been using Digital Home Canada (especially their forums) for HDTV information for awhile but this new one seems like a winner too.

        Cheers,
        Mikey

              HDTV in Canada

For anyone with about $3,000 to invest and a lot of couch time to fill, purchasing a High Definition Television will be the next logical step up the technology food chain.

Over the past couple weeks, one of the most important technical achievements of the Olympic Games was that NBC broadcast...

It didn't take long for widescreen to spoil me.

Since I've gotten my new HDTV widescreen monitor I've been surfing trying to learn more about when I would be able to really take advantage of viewing OTA widescreen broadcast and exactly what digital television would bring to the table...
