    Avatar too small

Hi, I am having trouble getting my avatar to a proper size (too small).

I am no computer whiz so please take it slow if explaining things.

I set my scanner and anything else I could find to the lowest resolution and managed to get a very small picture up but cant get it to upload any larger.

Any ideas? I assume that this avatar would be acceptable as I own Energy speakers.

    Thanks Peter

I'm no computer expert, but it appears your picture size is too small - 32 x 42 pixels - upsize it a little and reload it.

So you scanned the avatar yourself? Did you resize it afterward, or did it scan directly to that small size? Try scanning at a higher resolution, or size it larger. Avatars can be up to 150 x 150 pixels, so you can go a bit bigger than you did.

When I scan, I normally scan at full resolution, and then downsize the image afterward to fit whatever I'm trying to put it in. So, if I were scanning an avatar, I'd start out with a big image, then I'd resize it to fit the avatar size in Paint, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or whatever you have.

we can resize it for you if you can send us a larger, better quality image. This one is to small and poor to enlarge. I tried.

You can email it, or if it's under 100K in size, you can attach it to your post. If you're using the Quick Reply, click Go Advanced, then Manage Attachments. You can upload your image here and post it in this thread, then one of us can grab it and resize it for you.

                  Try these on for size.

First one is your image, resized without any cropping.

                  Second one has some cropping.

Third one has more cropping (cut the name out so the speaker can be bigger).

The second one looks good to me and definitely better than what I originally had.

I spent a few hours again trying to get the avatar up there and for some reason it just didnt work.I dont think it is anything to do with the system its just me not knowing how to do it, or resize it etc.

Kevin if you could get it on there for me you it would make life a lot easier for me. I will have to learn more about computers.

                    Thanks Pete :T
