I have it, Sonnie. The video is just adequate, but the sound (DTS especially) is pretty impressive.

The DTS sound is impressive, but the mix is very strange. Here we are, watching a filmed record of a live show where the performers were clearly up front on stage, yet the sound engineers play a game of "guess where we're going to ping-pong instruments from on this song". Percussion from the right rear. Guitars in the back corners. All the while, the performers are still right up front in the video, so what/who is producing those sounds?

Even if this were a DTS-CD, multichannel SACD or DVD-A without the video firmly planting the image of how the band was set up, the "creative" repostioning of the instruments would be annoying. I prefer the PCM track because with it, the sound more closely resembles what you would have experienced at the concert, aligned with what you see on the screen (with the band arrayed across the front).

Thanks Burke and David... I don't remember this concert being that bad on LD but for whatever reason (old LD player, s-video on a pj, etc.) it looks terrible and the sound is so-so via optical digital.

Hopefully "adequate" video will be better... at least playing on our Denon 2900 vs. the old LD player I can't help but to think so.

We went to 2 of these concerts (Orlando and Birmingham) so it's a must have as we really like the Eagles.

The Hotel California DVD-A has very good sound quality to me but of course it's not Hell Freezes Over.

I caught the HFO tour at Rice Stadium in Houston - WHAT A GREAT SHOW! :T I didn't recognize Joe Walsh at first with his short white hair.

I'll almost guarantee that the video will be much more pleasing this time around Sonnie. I do have to admit since Burke brought it up, that most of my interaction with this DVD is via the PCM track. Even though the DTS wins the sound quality contest hands down, it's disconcerting to me to see the performer in front of me and the sound of the instrument he's playing coming from over my shoulder. Oh well, it's that anal retentive thing showing up again. . . .

sound quality= UNBELIEVABLE! No other words.

Mix= Ridiculous. Who ever did that should be in photography not sound.

Just my opinion ofcourse.
