    Proof of Life

Anybody catch this one? I won't give you a review here, I'll just say I enjoyed the flick, starring Russell Crowe, Meg Ryan, and David Morse. Ok, maybe your saying David Morse, who the hell is he? Well, I remembered him from a Gina Davis/Samual L Jackson film called "Long Kiss Goodnight". Anyway, the film is international in scope, and does involve kidnapping for ransom type situations with terrorist/guerilla type characters. First the film shows you how these things can work, introducing you to the character of Russell Crowe. Then you get down in the trenches on the main "case" of the movie.

There are some special things about David's part that I can't reveal for fear of spoiling this film, but he did quite a nice job with his part. Russell Crowe was brilliant as well.

Overall, it's a movie that develops a little slow at times. But the major scene of the film really does make this film recover fairly well. It's a great action scene!

I expect it's been out on DVD a good while, but I just picked it up recently for a bagain price based upon who was in the film.

This was good. Much better than expected. I think it had a mediocre run at the theater (more bad timing than bad movie).

The features are interesting as there is a suprising number of folks taken internationally and held for ransom to fund these terrorist groups. Bizarre. Then again, I lead a sheltered life and tend not to travel outside my own country because Canada is so enormous and I haven't come close to seeing it all yet so what is anywhere else gonna offer me? But I digress

It's a good movie with a great action scene...very good sound mix.

I also liked this film. You could see that something was going on between Russel and Meg, but I'm glad he finally married an earlier sweetheart of his. I believe she has had a positive affect on him. And Gladiator's gonna be a daddy, too.

I enjoyed this film. It did get kinda slow at parts but, it comes through when it counts.

I saw this a while back. Not a keeper but a decent rental. I thought some of the acting was a little over the top, but what the hey.
