Thanks Kenny, that's sort of what I thought.

Well, now I am questioning this one and Gladiator, but the fact Gladiator is DTS ES makes it probably a keeper. Now, I want to find out if ES is the regular EX counterpart, or if this is the discrete, or what.

Husker, I'll split the cost with you and we'll get Lex some glasses for christmas. ...but then again there is a "ke" in both names, so I can see where it would be easy to mix these names up. :?

wow I think thats it , the Ke......and to think I missed that when I was looking to see if there was even a shred of similiarity, and this was after throwin battery acid mixed with a Tar and feathers solution in my eyes to try and duplicate what Lexs vision must be like.

On a more serious note, how did you like this Flick? Im not going into spoilers here or anything but I remember that Trailer that ran for along time on DD 5.1 demos and such had me so hyped for this flick and when it came out it got such horrible "buddy" reviews I had to pass.
Now Im glad I did save the $5 and there was about as much similarity between the original and this one as our screen names

Lame movie, but if you want to see a Shelby Mustang in action, you should fast forward through at least an hour and cut to the chase (literally)!

I upgraded the C2 firmware yesterday afternoon. I decided to watch my Gladiator DVD to see how the DTS ES sound was after getting home from work. I have an A21 driving the fronts and an A51 for the center, surround and the newly added back speakers. I have a Sony DVP-CX777ES DVD player. I was watching...

                    My CES 2001 Report (long!)

Well, here are my opinions on what I saw and heard at the CES this
                    year.

I'll start off with best 2 ch sound. I think it was a tie between
Burmester and Alon. Burmester offer an incredibly musical system
(that is also gorgeous). While some of the demos were dts cd's,...

                    by gianni
I am temporarily with out a center channel.

While watching Gladiator in DTS I selected DTS DOWNMIX with the 2CH button and this made the dialog louder and easier to understand.

I tried the same thing using DD on a couple of discs and it made no apparent difference. Is this...

Where are all the 5.1Ex and 6.1 Dts releases ?
                    by George Bellefontaine
After The Phanthom Menace used 5.1 EX in theaters there was a spate of releases using the rear channel and even a few DTS 6.1 discrete releases such as Gladiator and The Haunting. lately I haven't seen a thing. Did I invest in a new 6.1 receiver for nothing ? Oh,well, can't complain too much. Even good...

Having seen Pitch Black just this year I was intrigued by the sequel(I'm hearing that 2 more are wanting to be made now..) also having missed this at the theater and liking this type of movie I knew I'd buy it. My expectations were rather low going in due to a piss poor showing at the box office plus...
