At once classic and subversive in its treatment of Western themes. Surprisingly enough, New Zealand credibly stands in for 1870 Colorado. The acting is very strong and the cinematography is excellent. At 84 minutes, it's not burdened by extraneous material and its deliberate pacing does not rankle. Those who are not fans of westerns may not be convinced but as a fan of the genre, I consider it a worthy addition. :T

THE GOOD SHEPHERD still interested me greatly. Many reviews I have read found the film boring and less that factual in some cases ( such as the Bay Of Pigs fiasco), and maybe there could have been a little more left on the cutting room floor, but overall the subject matter intrigued me. For those unfamiliar...-
