The Four Feathers -- a comment

This is not a review. Tex Meek did an excellent review of this film while it was playing theatrically and everything he said there holds true. I just want to add a few comments.

A little better editing and this could have been much better, especially at the beginning where the film really dragged. But all was made up for when we got to the Sudan and the battle scenes. This was some of the best action cinematography I have scene in a long while.

I decided to buy this one rather than rent and I am not sorry. It will get several viewing in my HT.

Thanks George. I've picked the DVD up too, but it's sitting in the pile waiting on Cinemeek to be put back together. How's the picture and sound quality?

Both sound and picture are excellent, not reference, but certainly satisfying. I find Paramount hot and cold when it comes to transfers, but this is one of their better ones.

Seeing that E is finished, Pr@ is almost finished (again) and Clive is coming on strong, I just had to post a few pics of our progress (or lack thereof) on Cinemeek, too.

        Bi-wiring: two vs. four
        by McGlentosh
Has anyone compared using internally bi-wired cables (four connectors on one end, two on the other) to running two separate cables? While there's certainly a $$ cost difference, is there a sonic difference?

        Rented It.

Well I thought this was going to be a bomb, but it was kick@$$ for a heavily promoted blockbuster. Honestly I can't say that I followed the F4 comics in depth, but either way it was fun.

I might even purchase it sometime down the road.

Student Film year three and four

Years three and four there was no more filming. Now it was up to the editor to make something of this mess. The Director built a house for the editor and his family on the Directors compound so they could work together everyday. The editor was one of the best in the business with many Academy nominations...
