    The Interview (2014)

I found this film somewhat puerile and shorter on laughs than I had hoped for, but I don't regret the 2 hours I spent watching it. The amazing thing to me is how sympathetically Kim Jong-un is treated. I can't imagine he is actually as 'human' as he is depicted in the film. The North Koreans should be pleased because it could easily have been a lot worse! The realism in the film is the reminder that all of us are a blend of nice and nasty.

    Interesting analysis.

Not a film I will ever watch, as I find today's definition of humor far from resembling anything that meets the definition I grew up with or can appreciate.

As far as no-holds bared satires & North Korea, Trey Parker's 2004 "Team America: World Police" would be quite difficult to top, IMHO.

Drone warfare is a big deal – well it is for me – even if most of it is conducted out of sight and out of mind of the citizens of the Western nations that are prosecuting the war. This film from director Andrew Niccol explores the dilemma of killing enemy fighters but also killing innocent civilians...

Now we all have learned that at the beginning of each day you are given your pages of the days work. For me that means I can figure out how I am going to utilize my crew and plan my day. The more I can get ahead of the company with pre-lighting the more time I can save production. And in film time is...
