    Metropolis

I am not a fan of anime so, will let someone that is do a more in depth review of the plot line. Suffice to say that it has the typical Japanese veiw of the future and the obligatory evil older man/12 year old school girl relationship.
Visually it is quite interesting. The animated characters have sort of a Tin-Tin look living in a CGI world. Somehow the two styles manage to blend together seamlessly, with a few exceptions.
The rear channels are very well used in this anime. Perhaps better than any other film I can think of at the moment.

I am not into Anime either, with the exceptions of titles like Shrek and Toy Story, but I was looking at this particular title at Blockbuster on Saturday and wondered if it was worth a view. I'll probably give it a spin.

I picked this up because I’ve seen the anime in the past. I was excited when I saw DTS on the cover, but didn’t realize until I popped the disc in its only DTS in Cantonese.
Anyways, it follows the anime a pretty close; there are one or two characters that play different rolls. But the one...

Just watched the new THX certified transfer of Akira...in fact this is the first time I've ever seen this movie.
Wow, it's very good, normally I'm not much on anime, I've seen many, but I own very few.
This is a good story, with excellent dream and hallucination sequences. It's easy to...
