I read a lot of Judge Dredd comics when I was in high school and early in university and quite enjoyed them. The Stallone version was a disaster and it was with quite a bit of trepidation that I decided to rent the recent version. I should not have worried. It is quite faithful to the spirit of the source material and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Will likely add it to the collection at some point. It will give your sub a good workout. Not for all tastes, but those who are so inclined (a bit reminiscent of Escape from New York in tone, though with fully modern effects) should enjoy it. :T
I judge Dredd a worthy form of entertainment

Cool. I am SO tired of story reboots. The Stallone version wasn't great or anything, but I'm still reluctant to see a replacement. (Mr. "I-Am-The-Law") I'll definitely watch this as a rental or on TV, so I'll look forward to it.CHRIS
Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

Rented it, based on your recommendation. Liked it! Liked that Dredd never took his helmet off, keeping the character pure for what it was written to be. Worth a rental.CHRIS
