Right now, Malkin is still out though he has been skating at practice for the past week.
Letang (defense) just went out for 7 - 10 days with a broken toe suffered during the 1st period of the Montreal game.
And the Flower (Fleury) is out with a back injury after a collosion duing the same game.

Props to the Pens for getting Iginla instead of the Bruins (makes last night doubly-sweet--in case it's not clear, I LOATHE the Bruins).

Guess it'll make the Habs' series win in the Eastern semi-final over the Pens that much more of an upset.

Seriously--despite some remaining weaknesses on D and a question mark about goaltending, the Pens are now, clearly, the favourites to reach the Cup final. A Bruins-Pens series would be interesting to watch, though, given the way the Iginla trade went down.

Other than Bruins fans...is there anyone that doesn't loathe them?:P

In my opinion, the big bad Bruins have always had a bit too much overblown swagger as far back as I can remember. But the exception was Orr, who always appeared down to earth. Today, they are starting to show chinks in their armor and should stop believing their press reviews.

The HABS are looking good, but as everyone has noticed, the Pens are stacked and even with current injuries, they are a force to be reckoned with.

Would love to see the Habs pick up Jagr for the stretch run (he's wanted to play in Montreal for a while and he played with Plekanec, quite successfully, at world championships, the Olympics and during the most recent lock-out). Won't happen, but it would be great.

Was on a hockey site and someone posted the Pens should pick up Jagr…just so the Bruins don't get him. I'd take that as a consolation prize.

He was looking real hard at coming to Pgh last year.
He actually came by a few times to hang with Mario during negotiations.
The fans here were excited he might return.
Then he ended up at Philly; presumably due to the $, but who could blame him.

I was at a game last year when we hosted the Phillies near the end of regular season.
Every time Jagr took to the ice, the entire arena was engulfed in a din of 'Boos'!
I chuckled, we all still admire his talent & relish the years he was here.
But once he put on the Fliers’ jersey it was all forgotten!

I was down town today with The Wife doing some food shopping in the market district & came across some of the many vendors hawking sports paraphernalia. Now I normally am not one for T-shirts or this type of garb, but I just could not pass this one up......

Tough loss. But with Malkin, Letang, Iginla, Neal, Morrow, Kunitz and Dupuis, I think the offence is still in pretty good shape.

Sorry about our Nova Scotia lad. It's beginning to look like Crosby is one of those great players who'll be plagued with injuries. When you look back at great players from the past like Gordie Howe, Tim Horton, etc., who went through most of their playing careers with nary a scratch, and then greats like Bobby Orr who had his career cut short with knee injuries, and these days Crosby. I guess it's how the cards are dealt.

Yikes! Saw a clip of that shot he took...that was no gentle kiss.

Sucks. But the Bruins will need more than Jagr to win the Cup.
